A 30-year history of success
IntegraSys first began serving credit unions in 1974 when CUNADATA signed a long-term systems management agreement to outsource its data processing operations to EDS, an information technology company. Created by the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) and CUNA Mutual, CUNADATA had been formed several years earlier to make information management services available to credit unions in the United States but was only serving six credit unions and fewer than 100,000 members. CUNADATA decided to outsource its systems management in order to meet its goal of providing processing to more credit unions, and that’s precisely what happened.
By 1981, the credit union industry division of EDS was processing for more than 4 million members. Together, that division and CUNADATA had developed a number of products and services to meet the needs of credit unions, and in 1981, EDS acquired CUNADATA and subsequently more than doubled its credit union business growth over the following three years. Throughout the rest of the 80s and the 90s, the company’s credit union division continued to expand its products and services.
In 2003, EDS divested its Credit Union Industry Group to Fiserv, Inc. The sale was completed on July 1, 2003, and the organization was renamed IntegraSys soon afterwards.
Today IntegraSys is stronger than ever, with a wide portfolio of well-integrated products and services for non-profit, member-owned credit unions that continues to expand and evolve.
